Help build the accounting backbone for a fast‑scaling Prime Financing and Capital Markets business at the forefront of digital assets. You’ll turn novel crypto activity into crisp, compliant financials, shape product launch decisions, and design SOX‑grade controls that stand up to scrutiny. • Own the end‑to‑end accounting architecture for Prime Financing and Capital Markets—design, scale, and continually improve processes that are airtight under GAAP/IFRS and evolving crypto guidance like FASB ASU 2023‑08.
• Be the accounting voice at the product table—partner with Product, Risk, and Legal to evaluate new offerings, land sound accounting positions, and ensure systems and ledgers are set up right the first time.
• Automate what matters—leverage blockchain data and external tools to streamline reconciliations, reduce manual touchpoints, and uplevel reporting quality.
• Lead and mentor an accounting team, drive cross‑functional collaboration, and deliver projects that modernize financial infrastructure and power on‑time product launches.
• Translate complex activity—crypto lending/borrowing, derivatives, and prime brokerage—into accurate accounting under ASC 815, ASC 860, and ASC 825.
• Ensure accurate, timely recognition and reporting across interest, trading gains/losses, fees, collateral movements, and other key flows.
• Raise the bar on close quality—prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements for Prime Financing and Capital Markets.
• Design and maintain SOX‑compliant internal controls tailored to crypto, including custody safeguards, smart contract considerations, and private key governance.
• Conduct rigorous P&L and balance sheet analysis, partner through audits, and stay ahead of regulatory developments impacting digital asset services.
• Craft clear, compliant regulatory filings and disclosures for Prime Financing and Capital Markets.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 4‑5 years specifically in prime brokerage, capital markets, or complex financial instruments accounting within a financial institution (e.g., investment bank, hedge fund, broker‑dealer).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and apply accounting principles to novel crypto transactions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex accounting issues to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
