  • 3–5 years of experience in grant writing, program coordination, or education administration, with a focus on federal and state grants (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Proven skill in developing RFPs, evaluating vendor bids, and ensuring competitive procurement compliance.

  • Willingness to learn and follow multi-step processes with tight deadlines and clearly defined parameters.
  • Experience with Title grants, IDEA, Carl Perkins, and Quality School funding is highly desirable.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Public Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in E-Rate program administration or related grants management.
  • Familiarity with federal compliance programs and competitive procurement practices.
  • Stay current with USAC/FCC regulations and advise client districts on funding opportunities.
  • Work with district staff to develop strategies, timelines, and project plans to meet Category 1 and Category 2 E-Rate goals.
  • Create and manage school district or public library consortia for cost-effective service procurement.
  • Prepare, submit, and certify all FCC Forms (470, 471, 472, 486, 500).
  • Develop bid matrices and cost analyses to guide vendor selection.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure the most cost-effective solutions for districts.
  • Ensure full compliance with competitive bidding regulations.
  • Maintain and update all EPC portal information for each district.
  • Respond promptly to PIA inquiries and Program Quality Assurance reviews.
  • Prepare and submit the annual State BAG application, year-end reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Support districts during on-site USAC audits.
  • Maintain complete records for all procedural, planning, and compliance requirements.
  • Attend relevant state, USAC, and FCC conferences as approved.

    We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of successfully managing complex funding or compliance processes, preferably in E-Rate or similar grant programs. If you have experience navigating regulations, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and delivering accurate results on tight deadlines, you may be a great fit. We are willing to train the right candidate for this role. This position offers the potential to advance to a Coordinator role at a higher rate of pay upon successful performance evaluation.

    Position Description
    Reporting to the Executive Director and the Leadership Team, the E-Rate Technician supports SERRC and client school districts in securing federal E-Rate funding by coordinating, preparing, and submitting accurate and timely applications. This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while maximizing funding opportunities for schools and libraries.
