- Internal Hires: Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
- External Hires: This position starts at $24.69. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
Under general direction of the Environmental services Supervisor, the Environmental Services Lead directs the activities of assigned personnel to achieve and maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable physical environment with minimal interruptions for all patients, employees, and the general public. This position leads employees to ensure patients, visitors, and hospital staff have a safe, clean, functional, and aesthetically attractive physical environment consistent with the standards established by Bartlett Regional Hospital, the Joint Commission, the State of Alaska, and other regulatory agencies.
The Environmental Services Lead supports the hospital mission and vision, holds staff accountable for performance, motivates staff, and assists the Supervisor in maintaining daily operations of the department. Participates in other hospital committees and teams as appropriate. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.>
- Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible housekeeping and custodial experience required, preferably in an acute care hospital or health care agency. Current knowledge of housekeeping techniques and procedures; general sanitation methods, materials, and techniques that include wall, floor, and fixture cleaning and chemical and disinfectant usage.
- Preferred Experience: Supervisory experience preferred.
