Job Summary:
The Computed Tomography Technologist I (CT Tech I) is a journey level position performing under direct supervision of the Senior CT Technologist. At this level, the incumbent has already completed an accredited technologist program, has obtained an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification, and is starting to learn the techniques, procedures, and imaging equipment for performing Computed Tomography exams. The incumbent also begins working toward obtaining their CT Certification.
The Computed Tomography Technologist II (CT Tech II) is a journey level position that independently performs the full range of CT exams and procedures, produces, assesses, and evaluates images and related data that are used by physicians to render medical diagnosis of diseases and injuries, performs all general and Angiography exams with moderate proficiency, competently performs trauma exams, assists with special procedures, and may mentor lower level CT Techs.
Minimum Qualifications for the Job:
CT Technologist I ($37.18 - $44.61/hour)
- Education:Completion of an accredited technologist program.
- Experience: Six months of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
- Certification(s): Current American Registry of Radiological Technologist (A.R.R.T.) registration. Alaska Fluoroscopy Users certification must be obtained within one month of hire.
CT Technologist II ($50.07 - $60.08/hour)
- Education:Graduation from an accredited technologist program.
- Experience:One (1) year of experience as a Radiology Technologist I or Six (6) months of experience as a Computed Tomography Technologist.
- Certification(s):
- Current American Registry of Radiological Technologist (A.R.R.T.) registration at time of appointment and for continued employment.
- Current Computed Tomography Certification at time of appointment and for continued employment.
- Alaska Fluoroscopy Users certification must be obtained within one month of hire.
Internal Hires:Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
