This is a 13-week contract position. The Radiology Department Manager will oversee the activities of the Radiology program, ensuring that radiology studies are properly submitted and reported. This position requires a strong background in Radiology Department Management, particularly managing a team of technologists.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily activities of the Radiology program and supervise radiology employees.
- Track radiology studies to ensure proper submission and reporting.
- Provide training and support for PACS and address transcription issues.
- Ensure appropriate maintenance and inspection of radiology equipment.
- Collaborate with clinic administrators and medical directors to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain and update Radiology policies and procedures.
- Manage radiation protection monitoring program for employees exposed to radiation.
- Work with Finance to maintain the radiology charge master and identify areas for improved revenue capture.
- Prepare necessary reports and manage lead apron testing.
- Ensure training and competency of staff performing radiologic exams.
- 5+ years of experience in Radiology Department Management.
- 5+ years as a Radiology Technologist.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology.
- Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) is required; registered in multiple modalities preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification is required.
- Experience with PACS training is required; CT and MRI technologist experience preferred.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations related to radiology services.
This position is scheduled for Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
