As a product designer at Meta, you’ll have the opportunity to play a central role in the way we build technologies — ensuring they are valuable, easy to use and of the highest level of craft and execution. You’ll be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from brainstorming the next great product innovation to tweaking pixels right before launch.
We’ll expect you to utilize your full range of product design, interaction design and visual design skills, while contributing to high-level strategic decisions with product and executive partners.
Required Skills
Product Designer, Reality Labs Responsibilities:
Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our 2 billion plus usersDesign flows and experiences that simplify and distill down complex actions into usable interfacesDesign new experiences or layouts that evolve and define visual systemsContribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of Facebook productsGive and solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually improve for qualityDrive a partnership with product managers, engineers, researchers and content strategists in order to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launchWillingness to represent work to a broader product team and other leaders, clearly and succinctly communicating the goals and conceptsMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field4+ years designing complex software products with a focus on user experience, interaction, and visual design that meet business objectivesExperience conducting advanced usability testing and gathers feedback from varied stakeholders to inform product strategyExperience developing and implementing design strategies, leads design efforts, and presents to executive-level stakeholdersProficiency in prototyping tools and building high-fidelity prototypes that effectively communicate design conceptsPreferred Qualifications
A breadth of experience designing products for virtual, augmented, mixed reality and/or other emerging technologiesProven experience working with cross-functional stakeholders such as User Research, Engineering, and Product ManagementProficiency in prototyping 3D interactions or interfaces using UnityExperience with novel user inputs such as hand or eye trackingExperience designing products for developers and/or creatorsPublic Compensation
$135,000/year to $194,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
