Bartlett Regional Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team in Nursing Administration.

RN I: This position provides basic nursing care in predictable situations to a limited number of patients under direct supervision. RN I’s are typically new graduates or returning to the profession after a prolonged absence. Performance is guided by rules and competencies to be met. RN I’s can recognize attributes of a clinical situation without extensive experience. With oversight, they render individualized nursing care based on the nursing process, hospital policies, and CARE values.

They participate in hospital committees and teams as appropriate.

RN II: RN II’s independently plan and implement routine nursing care using standards and knowledge from education and preceptorship. They begin to assume leadership responsibilities with minimal supervision. They communicate effectively, work as part of a team, and use critical thinking skills. Basic computer literacy and the ability to learn new software and operate office equipment are required.

RN III: An RN III is an advanced level nurse assigned at least one float area, providing comprehensive nursing care tailored to the patient’s physical, psychological, spiritual, social, cultural, and educational needs. RN III’s provide preventative, supportive, and rehabilitative care based on the nursing process and hospital policies. They function under the oversight of the Nursing Supervisor and may cover ED, CCU, Med/Surg, MHU, OB, and RRC.

They need minimal supervision.

• Current Alaska RN license.
• New graduates or RNs with less than 1 year of acute care experience, or no recent nursing experience in the past 5 years. Promotion to RN II within 18 months of hire.

• Current Alaska RN license.
• At least 1 year of experience or promotion from RN I after 1 year.

• BSN preferred.
• Current Alaska RN license.
• Three years of current clinical experience or one year as a Bartlett RN II. Proficiency in primary specialty and float area experience required for promotion.

Internal hires’ step placement and pay are based on applicable rules or union contracts. External hires’ pay is based on experience.

• RN I starts at $38.90/hr
• RN II starts at $44.09/hr
• RN III starts at $46.29/hr
