Deli/Clerk – Fred Meyer (Part‑time)

Join the Fred Meyer family as a Deli Clerk and deliver outstanding customer service while supporting a safe, clean and profitable deli department.

• Prepare and display a wide variety of cold‑case, fresh‑pack, salad and hot‑bar items per customer requests.
• Measure, mix and label ingredients according to recipe and maintain product quality, freshness and safety.
• Adhere to all food‑safety regulations, department standards and Kroger core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals and monitoring quality‑assurance standards.
• Provide excellent customer service, address needs in a timely manner and model suggestive selling techniques.
• Perform essential functions of the position and other duties as assigned.

• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Basic understanding of food production, cooking techniques and basic math.
• Effective communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with a sense of urgency.
• Good basic math skills.
• Ability to obtain current food‑handlers permit once employed.
