• Prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Use all bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens, stove, computerized scale, fryer, steamer, robot coupe) according to company guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to food temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients according to recipe using kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Adequately prepare, package, label, and inventory merchandise.
• Check product quality to ensure freshness and review "sell by" dates.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Understand the store's layout and locate products on request.
• Stay current with ads and product knowledge to answer questions and make suggestions.
• Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and note discrepancies.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and maintain temperature logs.
• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Practice preventive maintenance and report equipment needs.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Work cooperatively in a high‑paced and stressful environment.
• Manage conflict cooperatively and nonconfrontationally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.

• Bakery or Deli experience (helpful).
• Retail experience.
