SummaryUnder the direction of the Tram Operations Supervisor and/or Tram Operator, attendant is responsible for loading/unloading passengers on/off an aerial tramway cabin. Attendants also perform cabin attendant duties inside the cabin during passenger transport.
Pay & BenefitsSeasonal Employees are eligible for the Seasonal Employee Layoff Bonus Plan. Starting Rate: $20.00 - DOE.
Responsibilities- On a daily or shift basis, and in accordance with GATI’s policies & procedures and all ANSI B-77 guidelines, is the sole cabin attendant and/or platform or station attendant responsible for the safe and orderly traffic of passengers on/off an aerial tramway cabin.
- Advises and assists passengers.
- Maintains surveillance of jurisdiction; has authority to stop cabin when danger conditions arise.
- Advises Tram Operator and responds to abnormal conditions with appropriate action.
- Keeps current on training received on operating procedures, load limits, emergency evacuation equipment, and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with janitorial staff for housekeeping tasks such as cabin cleaning, window cleaning, and loading area vacuuming/sweeping/mopping.
- Receive guidance, training, or assignments from shift Tram Supervisor.
- Recognize and communicate problems that interfere with safe operation.
- Follow emergency evacuation procedures and assist with evacuating the cabin.
- Work as a team member.
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required.
- Ability to meet time and attendance requirements.
- Ability to work all shifts including days, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
- Ability to handle stress under pressure.
- Ability to provide quality customer service.
- Ability to physically climb out of the cabin during rescue evacuations.
- Ability to physically rope evacuate passengers and self from cabin.
- Excellent communication and superior customer service skills.
- Ability to learn and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with other employees.
- Ability to work directly with the public, providing prompt and courteous information and assistance daily.
- Willingness to learn and share local history, people, culture, geography, etc.
- Ability to stay calm during a tram operation stoppage.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Successfully pass a background check.
- Prior Tram Operations experience.
- Current CPR and first aid certificates.
