Base pay range

$35.00/hr - $52.00/hr

Line Mechanic, Full-time, Permanent

Compensation:
Wage will vary based on experience, $35-52 DOE per hour



Job Summary

The Line Mechanics role is to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Alaska Seaplanes fleet to meet the standards and compliance of both company and industry. Duties include conducting routine and special inspections as required and mandated by the FAA and manufacturers; troubleshooting and repairing damaged, worn or defective aircraft; and assembling and installing mechanical and structural components and accessories. Additionally, Line Mechanics are responsible for on-time delivery and ensuring milestones and deadlines throughout the project are met;

ensuring the aircraft is properly protected and proper procedures are in place and followed to eliminate errors and incidents; and completing required paperwork including discrepancy records inspections, checklists, parts status tags, MEL sign offs and work orders.

Schedule:

40 hrs/week - 8-hour shifts with occasional need for overtime.

Required Experience & Skills

Must be 18 years of age

Ability to read, interpret and research pilot description of discrepancies and diagnose problems

Ability to independently accomplish job responsibilities within short deadlines

Must hold FAA Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic Certificate

Must have knowledge of applicable FAA and environmental regulations

Must pass pre-employment FAA DOT drug test and participate in random drug testing

Must be able to lift 60lbs

Must be a United States citizen or provide proof of right to work in the U.S.

Ability to fluently read, write, speak and understand English

Must have basic computer skills

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Ability to work self-directed and within a team
