Community Care Licensing Specialist 1 - Kenai (PCN 063398)

Full‑time position located in the Kenai Field Office. The Community Care Licensing Specialist 1 recruit, support, assess, investigate, and license individuals across Alaska to provide critically important foster care for children. The candidate will actively recruit and support resource families to establish positive and nurturing home environments.

Overview

This role is open to Alaska residents only. Rural travel, remote supervision models, and on‑site co‑workers are expected. The position may require travel to rural communities and/or under a remote supervision model with on‑site co‑workers and support administration available.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit, support, assess, investigate, and license individuals across the State of Alaska to provide foster care.
  • Recruit and support resource families to establish positive and nurturing home environments for the healthy development of children.
  • Maintain licensing records, manage investigations, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

Additional Required Information
  • Valid Alaska Driver’s License and Real .
  • Local travel within 50 miles and occasional travel within the State.
  • Use of the Alaska Public Safety Information Network (APSIN); background investigation including fingerprinting.
  • Child protective history check per AS 12.62.160 and/or 13 AAC 68.315.
