Are you looking to advance your career at AMHS, and lead and coach an amazing team at the Petersburg Terminal? The Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Alaska Marine Highway System is recruiting for a Full Time Ferry Terminal Manager 1 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!

The Ferry Terminal Manager 1 is a supervisory position responsible for independent judgment in employing, training, and coaching assigned staff. This position also coordinates shifts and schedules to meet the staffing needs of the terminal’s vessel calls and traveler volume.

  • Along with Facility Management, Customer Service, Supervision, and administrative responsibilities, you will ensure that operations are conducted according to AMHS and USCG regulations and protocols, officiate terminal and dock security, line handling, ship docking, and hydraulic ramp operations.
  • Become an integral part of a local community in the Great State of Alaska, and work with the DOT&PF and AMHS Central Office to facilitate travel and provide a cohesive Marine Transportation system for its members, Alaskans, and its frequent visitors.
