Locations:
Jupiter, FL, Richmond, VA and Charleston, SC

Boxwood Partners is seeking to add Managing Directors to our rapidly growing M&A practice in Jupiter, FL and Richmond, VA. This role entails working closely with the firm’s Managing Directors in building relationships with clients and potential clients. This individual will need to have deep experience executing sell-side deals in the middle market. Responsibilities at Boxwood Partners are often less rigid and more entrepreneurial than at other firms, and the firm only hires individuals who will have the ability to develop into Partners in the organization over time.

Responsibilities

Conduct business development activities to identify, source and introduce potential clients for sell-side M&A assignments

Participate in the preparation of materials describing the business, market positioning and financial condition of clients

Identify potential buyers and investors that might be interested in a client’s business and participate in contacting these entities on behalf of the clients

Develop a network of contacts in relevant fields that will assist the Firm in finding new client and expanding relationships with potential investors

Supervise and mentor staff members

Act as strategic advisor to clients enabling them to achieve their long-term goals

Qualifications

Proven track record of generating M&A fees and executing financing and/or M&A transactions, preferably in the middle market.

10-15 years of experience conducting sell-side advisory

Display an ability to connect with potential new clients confidently and credibly and to lead client meetings.

Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

A successful candidate will be an assertive, motivated self-starter with the desire and potential to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Participate in key industry conferences, speaking opportunities, media interviews, and marketing efforts to generate exposure and promote the firm
