Social Worker​/Counsellor

The Social Worker / Counsellor works in the field provides comprehensive assessment, case management and counselling to individuals and families with varying needs and complexities, with a focus on safety, risk and holistic well-being. The role involves developing tailored intervention plans, collaborating with stakeholders, and delivering timely documentation to support positive outcomes for vulnerable families and strengthen community support systems. He/She also works in collaboration with other stakeholders in the course of his/her work.

• Conduct needs assessment, safety and risk assessment for intake
• Provide case management and counselling for clients and families
• Engage in appropriate contact, sighting and interaction with families and vulnerable members
• Ensure comprehensive assessment of families through the lens of Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual (BPSS) model
• Identification and assessment of safety and risk concerns, and formulation of safety plan
• Develop intervention plans that are suited to family’s needs
• Collaborate with other stakeholders in the delivery of holistic services and tailored support for families
• Timely documentation of casework and counselling efforts
• Support in the planning, execution and evaluation of one or few of the following initiatives: group work, programme, community work, stakeholder engagement
• Any other job tasks that may be assigned within the Division and VCS, if needed
