Seasonal Business Tax Associate

• Help customers complete taxes using Intuit Turbo Tax products with sound professional judgment, ensuring excellent and timely service.
• Maintain sensitive customer information responsibly and securely.
• Use government websites and professional resources to provide accurate answers in everyday language.
• Interact with customers via video communication software (Smartlook).
• Deliver tax advice, full-service business return preparation, product/software inquiries support, and tax calculations.
• File tax extensions and manage other client requests.
• Create high-quality customer interactions that build confidence and demonstrate empathy.
• Apply company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and return preparation issues.
• Document all customer interactions in the system.
• Work toward meeting company key performance metrics and Big Bet Goals.
• Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.

• Strong business tax preparation experience (3+ years) and extensive knowledge of tax laws, including recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120‑S) for at least 20 clients per season.
• At least 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience (minimum 30 tax returns per year).
• Minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
• Bookkeeping experience with books-to-tax preparation strongly preferred.
• Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers preferably.
• Possession or ability to obtain relevant state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Working knowledge of Circular 230.
• Proficiency with technology and solid computer skills.
• Strong customer service skills – ability to interact via video and audio tools professionally.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Reliable internet connection meeting Intuit security criteria.
• Must reside in the United States.

Compensation:
The expected base pay range varies by location:
