Overview

Field Service & Yard Associate at Mobile Modular Portable Storage. This role involves yard and field responsibilities around container inventory, maintenance, and service activities at customer sites as needed.

$16.88/hr - $29.13/hr

The specific pay rate and level, if applicable, will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications, prior experience and location.

• Maintain Forklift In and Out Logs and other inventory reports and move inventory with forklift
• Organize yard containers by size and state of repair
• Perform light welding and electrical work (rewiring, switches and outlets); operate power washer and other power tools; basic carpentry and painting; rust remediation
• Manage preparation and availability of all container inventory at the yard
• Inspect, repair and maintain sufficient quantities of all container types
• Perform basic AC service for office and combo units (filter changes, thermostat replacements, coil cleaning)
• Ensure proper building materials inventory levels for container repair
• Work outdoors in variable weather conditions, including high-temperature months
• Work independently with initiative when supervision is not available
• Ensure each asset leaving is prepared and quality checked
• Follow all company safety guidelines; actively participate in safety meetings
• Receive or load assets to/from third-party vendors and report activities to Ops Coordinator
• Support service calls when possible
• Bi-yearly inventory responsibilities
• Perform other duties as assigned

• 2-3 years of experience in a construction yard work environment
• Basic computer experience
• Forklift certification with container driving experience is a plus
• Strong mechanical aptitude; experience repairing containers, van trailers, and metal waste bins preferred
• Experience in yard operations, processing paperwork, maintaining inventory, basic carpentry and electrical ability; light welding and AC troubleshooting
• Ability to work independently and safely
• High-energy, results-driven, with integrity
• Valid Driver’s License

Ability to perform service on containers both in the yard and at customer job sites, including driving a company truck to customer worksites.

• Position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain physical activity for most of the day
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and handle various objects
• Need to carry, bend, stoop, turn, kneel, crawl, climb a ladder and perform other manual labor activities
