The City of Bloomington is seeking an individual to be a Lifeguard who will work under the direct supervision of the Assistant Coordinator to provide excellent customer service while safeguarding patrons from drowning and other accidents. The Aquatic Center season runs from May 19 - August 23rd with training in early May and opening date of June 6.

- Other duties as assigned
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Possess or ability to pass Lifeguard Certification certification
- American Red Cross Lifeguard certification
- American Red Cross CPR/AED for Lifeguards
- American Red Cross Waterfront and Waterpark Lifeguard certificates
An outdoor aquatic center that includes a 50 meter, eight lane lap pool, zero-depth entry with water play features and tot-slides, diving well with diving boards and drop slide, two tower looping waterslides, and concessions stand. Dates and times:
May 19 – August 23, 2026, Open seven days per week, 5:45 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
This position does not supervise others.
Anticipated Hiring Range: $18.00 – $20.00 Hourly
INCENTIVESCommitment Bonus – A seasonal employee who works until at least August 20th will receive a $100 bonus on their final paycheck.
Referral Bonus – A seasonal employee who refers a new seasonal employee will receive a $100 bonus on their final paycheck. Referral paperwork required within one week of employee’s start date and both employees must be employed for the entirety of the scheduled season to be eligible.
