Why This Role

As Claroda's Snowflake Data Architect, you own the technical vision for our client engagements from the first conversation to the live platform. You'll sit across the table from clients to understand their business, shape the architecture, and then work shoulder to shoulder with our engineers to build it. Because we're a small, growing firm, you won't inherit a thick rulebook — you'll write it.

The reference architectures, standards, and practices you create become how Claroda builds for everyone who follows.

What you'll do:

Own the architecture end to end.  Define Snowflake account strategy and environment separation (Dev / QA / Prod), design multi-account or multi-region setups where they're needed, and set the reference architectures and standards others build from.
Design the platform.  Architect scalable warehouse and data lake solutions and the ingestion, transformation, and serving layers, with data modelling standards (dimensional and domain-driven) that fit each client.
Make it fast and cost-aware.  Shape warehouse sizing and workload isolation, apply performance-tuning practices, and put cost governance and monitoring in place so clients trust the spend.
Build in security and governance.  Design RBAC, data masking, and row-level security, and establish governance, metadata, and compliance practices.
Set the engineering standards.  Define pipeline frameworks using Streams, Tasks, Snowpark, and Dynamic Tables, establish CI/CD for Snowflake deployments, and guide code structure, versioning, and testing.
Lead the client conversation.  Run architecture discussions with business and technical stakeholders, translate their needs into designs that scale, and support proposals, estimates, and technical presentations.
Grow the people around you.  Mentor engineers, run architecture reviews, and drive our internal capability so the whole team keeps getting stronger.

What You'll Bring

You've spent several years in data engineering or data platform work, with real time architecting on Snowflake
You're strong across Snowflake AI architecture and platform concept.
Advanced SQL is second nature, and you've worked with Snowpark (Python preferred).
You've designed CI/CD for data platforms and worked hands-on with at least one major cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Above all, you bring creativity and ownership: you can walk into an ambiguous client problem, shape a design, and carry it through
