Will this fit my body? Which size should I choose? How will it look on me? And how should I style it? Following the launch of its first Shopify-integrated product in 2025, the business is moving from early commercial deployments toward a scalable, multi-brand and multi-platform product.

Company Description
Our client is a Norwegian fashion-tech company building an online store-integrated virtual dressing room designed to make online fashion shopping more personalised, confident, and reliable.
The platform combines smartphone-based body scanning with garment and product data to provide high-accuracy size and fit guidance. It also incorporates a reusable shopper body profile and digital twin, virtual try-on technology, and AI-powered conversational styling and product matching.
For fashion brands and retailers, the platform is designed to improve purchase confidence and conversion, reduce returns, and provide better insight into customer and product behaviour.
The technology currently spans a customer-facing e-commerce widget, smartphone body scanning, digital twins, product catalogue scraping and enrichment, size recommendations, fit explanations, virtual try-on, AI styling, conversational shopping support, shopper profile management, and merchant analytics and administration.
The current technology stack includes  Python, Type Script, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AWS, and Bot Press , alongside specialist third-party technologies for body scanning, digital twins, and virtual try-on.
The company is now entering an important stage of growth, with a focus on increasing internal technical ownership while continuing to work with high-quality specialist technology partners.

About

The Role
We are looking for a  Senior Developer & Technical Lead  who will take hands-on responsibility for the company’s technology, architecture, and technical roadmap while becoming a fully integrated member of the executive team.
This is a broad product-engineering and technology-leadership role sitting at the intersection of software architecture, e-commerce, data, AI services, privacy, and external technology integrations.
You will understand and progressively own the full technology environment end to end, make pragmatic architectural decisions, contribute production code, and translate the company’s product and commercial ambitions into a realistic and scalable technical roadmap.
You will work closely with the founders, product and commercial teams, external development partners, specialist AI and technology providers, and customers’ technical teams.
The role begins as a  senior individual contributor and technical lead , with the potential to grow into broader  Head of Engineering or CTO-level responsibility  as the business and internal engineering team expand.

Responsibilities

Establish internal ownership and control of the architecture, codebase, infrastructure, data, documentation, deployments, access management, and technical roadmap.
Review existing technical debt, security, scalability, data flows, operational risks, and supplier dependencies, and prioritise improvements according to business impact.
