Tax Associate

Join the Tax Associate team at H&R Block and help clients achieve confidence with expert tax support.

As a Tax Associate you will conduct face‑to‑face and virtual client interviews, prepare accurate tax returns, and support office growth through collaboration. You will receive focused training and the flexibility to thrive.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration
• Grow your tax expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (preferred)
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, supportive environment
• Ability to work a minimum of 25–35 hours weekly throughout tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course1
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
• Must meet all IRS and state requirements

• Effective communication in person, via phone, and in writing
• Ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher (minimum)

$11.00 – $27.00 / hr.
