Central Maui Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced full‑time Veterinary Customer Service Representative to join their team! We are the only 24‑hour Emergency Veterinary Facility on the island.

The purpose of this position is to provide outstanding client service, answering the phone, differentiating between routine and emergency cases, scheduling appointments, greeting clients, admitting and checking out patients, processing payments, managing financial information, and communicating information between clients and staff.

• Operate a multi‑line telephone system, answer incoming calls, place calls on hold, transfer calls, and page staff members.
• Follow hospital guidelines for communicating with clients in various situations.
• Answer basic questions regarding hospital services, fees, and animal care.
• Communicate with clients regarding invoices and medical status of pets.
• Maintain knowledge of wellness‑care standards and common medical problems.
• Schedule appointments efficiently.
• Accurately enter and retrieve records, enter fees and charges, and maintain the database.
• Assist staff with cleaning and straightening public areas.
• Represent the hospital with courtesy, tact, and a positive attitude.
• Demonstrate initiative and assist other employees as needed.
• Perform other duties as directed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform clerical work with speed and accuracy, use a multi‑line telephone system, and handle cash and other payments.
• Experience assembling patient records and entering information.
• Complete assigned tasks without direct supervision.
• Show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Commitment to outstanding client service.
• Ability to lift objects weighing 40 lbs without assistance and >40 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to work energetically for entire shift, sometimes up to 10+ hours per day.

• At least two years of recent experience in an office or medical environment, with increasing responsibilities.

4 × 10‑hour day shifts.

$18.00‑$19.00 per hour (actual rate based on skillset and experience).
