Overview
The Behavior Analysis Teacher (BAT) will serve as Complex Area resource providing school level supports to students with significant behavioral challenges. The primary purpose of this position is to provide IEP indicated ABA services, supervise the provision of ABA services, conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and provide behavioral/educational consultation to schools and families. A valid Hawaii State teacher license and a current license to provide behavior analytic services in the State of Hawaii are required.
Must be able to travel to all schools within the Canoe Complex Area.
- Valid Hawaii teaching license from the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board (Kindergarten to 12th Grade)
- Licensed Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in the State of Hawaii
- License to provide behavior analytic services in Hawaii
- Special education classroom experience in a K-12 school setting.
Compensation details: Yearly Salary.
Your Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit is required upon hire. If you are hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, you have a maximum of 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license. You must enroll in a Program to continue employment with the Department.
