Team Member – Starting Pay $18.00 at Regal

Team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as either variable hour, part‑time fixed, part‑time regular or full‑time hourly employees whose primary responsibility is ensuring our guests receive exceptional service. Team members may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. Team members must act as a representative of Regal in a way that is consistent with our mission statement and policies.

Starting $18.00/hr

Free movie passes and discounted concessions at any Regal location. All team members are eligible to participate in our 401(k) retirement plan, with a company match, once they reach the age of 21 and have completed six months of service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Box Office
  • Operate the POS system, ensuring accuracy of the cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards and redeemed discount tickets, passes and coupons.
  • Upsell/suggestive sell of Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX).
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
  • Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy.
  • Respond to phone calls and questions from guests in a manner that is consistent with our guest service philosophy.
Concession
  • Operate the POS system and manage cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards and redeemed coupons as well as concession stock inventory.
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
  • Operate, prepare, and clean all concession-related equipment.
  • Upsell and suggestive sell to guests.
  • Comply with all local, state and federal food‑safety laws.
  • Abide by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and/or meal periods.
  • Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable.
  • If the theatre sells alcohol and your duties include selling or serving alcohol, you must be of legal age and have the required training and certification.
  • Read and understand training materials covering sexual harassment and discrimination.
Usher
  • Tear tickets, collect and deposit appropriate stubs, and direct patrons to their auditoriums.
  • Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
  • Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats when necessary.
  • Enforce MPAA rating system.
  • Conduct in‑theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film and content theft, and maintain a safe quality environment.
  • Report to management any problems, discrepancies or unusual situations that arise at the theatre.
  • Perform in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed by management.
  • Clean auditoriums at the end of scheduled shows and maintain clean restrooms, lobby area, hallways and other areas outside the auditorium.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment.
  • Assist with all opening and closing duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Education/Experience
    :
    Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as a box office cashier or progress toward completion required.
  • Language Ability
    :
    Possess good public speaking, listen effectively and respond clearly and directly.
  • Math Ability
    :
    Perform calculations with speed and accuracy and identify and correct errors.
  • Reasoning Ability
    :
    Identify problems, gather relevant data, note possible causes, evaluate alternatives and reach conclusions based on evidence. Take action beyond what is called for and perform under pressure and/or opposition.
  • Personal Skills
    :
    Possess excellent communication skills with customers, co‑workers and management. Establish goals, budget time, and set priorities to achieve desired objectives.
  • Physical Demands
    :
    Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, and talk or hear. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May occasionally lift up to 60 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
