Summary:

The Fast Food Attendant is responsible for performing various duties within a fast food/snack bar establishment, including completing customer transactions, cleaning food or stock areas, assisting in the kitchen, and maintaining inventory. Performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. This is a non-exempt position.

Essential Functions:

• Greets customers, takes food orders, provides menu information, and looks for opportunities to upsell products.
• Operates cash register, receives payment, accurately counts and provides change, and follows all HMS Host customer service and cash handling policies.
• Cleans and stocks the work area.
• Assists in locating, reconciling, and verifying transactions; operates equipment with peripheral electronic data processing; transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assists with kitchen-related functions as needed.
• Receives inventory, moves and lifts food, beverages, and supplies; maintains knowledge of products and services.
• Follows proper food handling procedures, including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperatures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work stations and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:

• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform job functions.
• Ability to lift/push objects over 40 lbs.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand instructions, policies, and communicate effectively with customers.
• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
