Sanitation Team Member (Cleaner, Housekeeping, Custodial) - Part Time at Whole Foods Market.

$17.00/hr - $25.40/hr

• Performs all duties to maintain general cleanliness and safety on the floor, in seating areas, restrooms, and back offices.
• Provides excellent maintenance service and completes daily and weekly maintenance lists.
• Supports all teams with cleaning projects and performs minor repairs and improvements.
• Participates in ordering supplies required for store maintenance.
• Assists with cleaning emergencies and maintains the store’s landscaping and parking lot.
• Performs continual cleaning of all store departments.
• Arrives on time, appropriately groomed, dressed, and ready to work; attends required trainings and meetings.
• Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.

• Ability to handle unpleasant tasks with a positive attitude.
• Concerns for the overall appearance of the store and adherence to WFM culture and quality standards.
• Strong to excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions, maintain professional conduct, and manage time effectively.
• Ability to deliver information clearly to team members, customers, and vendors.
• Strong work ethic; able to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
• Understanding of and compliance with WFM quality goals.

• No prior retail experience required.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
• Hand use: gripping, fine manipulation; pushing and pulling.
• May be exposed to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
• Temperatures: from below freezing to hot environments.
• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment; flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.

The wage range for this position is $17.00-$25.40 hourly, commensurate with experience.
