Responsibilities- Organize, lead, and maintain the warranty and service schedule.
- Work with the Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor, and Branch Manager to allocate labor resources for service and warranty projects.
- Assist with training and development for Field Service Technicians and Field Communications Technicians.
- Lead regular meetings to align and train the local field service team on best practices.
- Support onboarding and training of new members of the field performance team.
- Regularly exceed defined goals for field performance KPIs including turnaround time, experience rating, and average dispatches completed.
- Assist with inspections and site audits when assigned.
- Must possess a valid Journeyman License/Electrician Certification or equivalent per local and state requirements (e.g., wireman license).
- 3+ years of field construction experience required, with at least 1 year as a service technician in the solar industry.
- High school diploma required.
- PV design or PV electrical experience preferred.
- Valid state/local Electrical Journeyman license or equivalent per local/state requirements (e.g., wireman license).
- Knowledge of NEC and applicable codes and standards.
- Team player with a proven track record of excellent customer service.
- Strong verbal and written communication; excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong computer skills; ability to interpret drawings and PV systems from roof to meter.
- Safety-conscious with ability to identify and report hazards and promote safe work practices.
- Customer service orientation; ability to build relationships with customers and coworkers.
- Results-driven with ability to meet deadlines and metrics; capable of independent work and teamwork.
- Problem solving: solid judgment, timely troubleshooting, and escalation when needed.
- Ability to transport materials and equipment (up to 50 pounds frequently, up to 100 pounds with assistance).
- Work on rooftops with varying angles and surfaces; frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance.
- Climb ladders; work in outdoor conditions (noise, heat, cold, humidity).
- Fine motor skills and safe handling of tools and equipment.
- Work within safety gear and fall protection; access roofs and elevated areas.
- Ability to distinguish colors and work in confined spaces as needed.
