Journey Worker Electrician

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within the commercial, industrial, and residential settings works under the supervision and/or direction of a foreman electrician.

Responsibilities

• All Licensed Journeyman responsibilities must be continually satisfied
• Installs, maintains, and/or troubleshoots advanced electrical systems in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC)
• Comprehends and incorporates specifications effectively
• Demonstrates ability to complete an overall job layout for projects of limited scope and size
• Consistently completes portions of projects on time, within budget, and in a safe manner
• Capable of leading small crews (2-5 electricians) effectively
• Demonstrates ability to effectively coach and mentor crew members
• Enforces a safe jobsite and maintains compliance with company safety, OSHA, and customer-specific safety standards

Qualifications

• Active Journeyman Electrician license, Hawaii preferred, or willing to get within 3 months of employment
• High School Diploma or equivalent, Degree in related field is preferred, 4 years of apprenticeship training (3 with 2-year degree from technical college),
• Current Driver License
• Reliable Transportation
• Coaching/Development - Ability to provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas
• Project Management - Ability to organize and direct a project to completion
