Dialysis Patient Care Technician PRN

Join our team at U.S. Renal Care. As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) you will provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN).

$41.85/hr - $59.78/hr

• Gather patient stats before and after treatment.
• Initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatment.
• Collect blood samples per physician orders.
• Prepare machines for hemodialysis treatments, clean and disinfect machines after treatment, conduct machine safety checks, and log results for quality control.
• Use appropriate safety measures including personal protective equipment.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and/f; participate in staff meetings and continuing education.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
• Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
• Comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
• Ability to distinguish primary colors.

• Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including theoretical and practical competency within 8 weeks of hire.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
• Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state certification program or nationally available certification within 18 months of hire date and maintained in good standing thereafter.
