About the Company
Albertsons Companies is one of the largest food and drug retailers in the United States, supporting over 2,200 stores in 34 states and the District of Columbia. The Service & Delivery Technician III will support Safeway retail grocery stores in Honolulu, HI and surrounding areas.
What You Will Be Doing
Providing IT support to Safeway stores, deploying equipment, installing hardware and software, troubleshooting and configuring retail IT systems, and performing break‑fix repairs on computers, printers, POS systems, scales, and network servers.
Main Responsibilities
- Support standard hardware platforms and systems installed throughout Safeway.
- Repair all approved standard technology hardware, including PC/Server hardware, network hardware, RF hardware and printers.
- Provide complete recoverability of systems and applications.
- Troubleshoot resolution of hardware and software issues.
- Install new hardware and software.
- Provide IT support to customers and meet service level agreement goals.
- Provide network and remote connectivity support.
- Maintain equipment inventory controls and policies.
- Work with Support Center (STSC) on assignment of problems, support issues and concerns with computer systems.
- Interface with all Corporate IT groups for on‑site support and technology resolutions.
- Adhere to repair standards and service levels established.
- Driving required for this Zone Service Area.
We are Searching For
- Excellent telephone, customer service and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to gather important information to resolve high‑pressure issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of IT hardware, installation models and Windows, MS Office, and related applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and be a strong collaborative partner in a matrixed organization.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, day, evening, night, and on‑call support capacity.
- Strong sense of urgency, business ethics, dependability and follow through.
Qualifications
- High school graduate; BA/BS degree preferred or 3+ years technical training/hardware certifications preferred.
- 5+ years technical systems experience and 2+ years technical support experience.
- 2+ years experience with retail store systems, technology systems and hardware.
- 2+ years experience with installation and configuration of desktop and peripheral technology.
- Good, safe driving record; reliable vehicle required.
Physical Environment
- Work may be performed in a temperature‑controlled environment.
- Must sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time.
- May spend long periods at a desk or computer terminal.
- Will use keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during normal workday.
- Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required.
- Fast paced workday; some evening and weekend work may be required.
- Must lift up to 50 pounds of equipment, with some twisting and turning during installs.
Salary
The hourly range is $26.57 to $34.53; starting salary will vary based on location, experience, and qualifications.
