Position: E- commerce / Business Manager

E- commerce / Business Manager - Delhi

The person will be the business owner for their categories, leveraging internal and external variables to deliver sales and outreach of categories. The role includes forecasting, monitoring, understanding, and reporting on the category, as well as driving strategic projects and promotions to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop e-commerce sales strategies to grow sales through our own website and meet revenue and growth targets.
  • Be well-versed with the operations of major e-commerce players such as Amazon, Myntra, Nykaa, Tata Cliq.
  • Coordinate with various e-portals to prepare a plan for periodic sales; design strategy to increase sales and visibility at different websites.
  • Provide thought leadership, innovation and process optimization initiatives such as implementing e-commerce software, inventory management software and other industry best practices.
  • Product management, product marketing, promotions, drive customer research and ROI.
  • Prepare and present annual, quarterly and monthly vertical budgets in discussion with top leadership.
  • Create and develop commercial opportunities that maximize revenue.
  • Develop, monitor, write and update content on e-commerce websites/portals/platforms.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure all relevant organizational goals are factored into e-commerce projects.
  • Own all performance and funnel metrics related to e-commerce sales; institutionalize metrics across teams and run performance cadences with stakeholders.
  • Plan category-level visibility and store optimization through data rigor.
  • Liaison with brand, marketing and design teams to plan monthly & yearly campaigns and co-own metrics like CTR, conversion funnel, retargeting, recovering abandoned orders and lead conversion.
  • Implement CRM strategy and loyalty program; grow and build customer database through organic and inorganic strategies.
  • Innovative thinking on new ways to sell sarees, introduce new launches, tell newer and better stories (capsules, videos, live shopping etc).
  • Plan merchandising/sort experiments to improve performance or test hypotheses through rigorous A/B testing, driving best practices.
  • Optimize and improve personalization, gamification of actions on the platform.
  • Create promotional offers and ensure they are uploaded.
  • Examine sales-related metrics to inform restocks.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in assigned product categories and take ownership of daily business administration on assigned categories.
  • Cultivate standards, systems and best practices for content creation, distribution, maintenance and new product.
  • Work with e-commerce vendors for graphic designs, layouts and relevant updates on e-commerce sites related to new and existing product information.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Graduate/MBA from a top tier school, with total work experience of 7-8 years, with preferably 3+ years in an e-commerce firm driving growth/planning.
  • Mandatory people management experience of 3+ years.
  • Experience handling fashion and luxury as a category and understanding the category nuances.
  • Ability to work well under deadlines, pressure and meet them successfully.
  • Bias for action – has sound judgement and thoroughly thinks through problems to find solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong creative bent of mind with the ability to generate ideas to drive category awareness and visibility.
  • Sharp business and creative acumen.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity.
  • Extremely strong in execution as this role involves overseeing significant execution.
  • Strong sense of customer centricity.
