Sage Group Health Care Staffing is seeking a Dental Hygienist for a travel/contract position in Kalamazoo, MI. We are accepting both local traveler candidates.

Contract Length: 13 weeks contract. Accepting both local and travel candidates
Pay Rate:
Range $1800 to $1840 Weekly Gross Pay based on a 40-hour work week (Includes Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)
Unit: Clinic
Shift timings: 8
Hours;
Days, 8.00 am - 5.00 pm
Schedule: 40 hours per week guaranteed, 5 shifts per week, Mon-Fri, Some Saturday availability may be required. 4 X 10-hr schedule may be possible
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years current experience required
- Experience with Cavitron Required
- Dentrix EMR Experience required
- Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred
- Good interpretation skills to maintain effective rapport with patients,dentists, other staff members and community.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft office and capable of learningelectronic healthcare systems software.
- Previous Travel - HIGHLY PREFERRED
Education, License and Certification Requirements:
- Michigan Dental Hygiene license
- Required - BLS Certification from AHA
- Required
Job Description:
- Work with administrative staff/front desk staff to schedule hygienepatients with efficiency.
- Accurately chart each patient’s periodontal health.
- Counsel patients on oral health, including the role of nutrition.
- Check on patient comfort during treatment and help allay patientanxiety.
- Apply cavity-preventative agents, such as fluorides and sealants.
- Perform thorough and gentle prophylaxis to patients.
- Accurately and appropriately record provided treatment.
- Take radiographs for patients as prescribed by dentist.
- Administer local anesthetics, if allowed by dental practice act.
- Perform scaling, root planning and selective polishing or patients as appropriate.
- Review patient health and dental history forms and update as necessary.
- Oversee cleanliness of the treatment room according to sterilizationprocedures.
- Counsel patients in Tobacco Cessation.
- Securely store and handle patient records in compliance with office policies and procedures and all applicable legal requirements, such as theHIPAA privacy and security regulations.
