JV Football Head Coach

RATE OF PAY:
Per Master Agreement Schedule “C” Guideline

To successfully lead and direct the JV football team as well as demonstrate commitment to student-athletes, school, and community while promoting school spirit and positive character among athletes.

• Demonstrated successful accomplishments as Football Coach in high school.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
• Successful experience as a player at the high school/college level.
• Hold a valid Michigan teaching certificate.

• Provide proper supervision for student-athletes at all times when they are participating in the program.
• Take steps to prevent, care for, and report injuries.
• Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all MHSAA, district, school, and athletic department policies.
• Provide a program to ensure proper use and care of equipment and uniforms, including an inventory record that is kept up to date.
• Work closely with the athletic director and head varsity coach to stay on top of scheduling, busing, fund-raising, student eligibility, facility use, MHSAA reports, etc.
• Coordinate all out of season team workouts.
• Ensure that all athletic activities conform to the PSD Student Handbook.
• Communicate effectively with all members of the athletic department, school district and community.
• Work effectively with booster clubs and other community organizations, if applicable.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; stand; sit; use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, ability to adjust focus, depth perception and peripheral vision.
