Director Academic Advising
The College of Education and Human Development at Western Michigan University is seeking a Director Academic Advising to lead comprehensive advising services for a college or large unit. This role sets strategic goals, develops policies, and oversees programs that support student success, retention, and graduation.
ResponsibilitiesSupervises advising staff, manages budgets, and ensures compliance with university and departmental requirements.
Collaborates with faculty and staff, represents the college on university committees, and fosters an inclusive environment that advances equity and diversity.
QualificationsMaster’s degree in higher education or a related field.
Seven years of professional academic advising experience.
Supervisory and strategic planning expertise, with proven ability to lead teams.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
