Who You Are
  • 2 years of security industry experience or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Visio, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong computer and networking skills
  • Proficient with and knowledgeable of different operating systems
  • Willing to develop comprehensive technical knowledge of all product offerings
  • Understand how our products and services integrate with other systems
  • Application and programming skills for our products
  • Good understanding of OSI Layer 3 (IP addressing, CIDR, tunneling)
  • Good understanding of OSI Layer 2 (VLANs, Ethernet)
  • Good understanding of routing and ACLs
  • Ability to use troubleshooting utilities (Wireshark, ping, trace route, netstat)
  • Solid SQL knowledge (server administration, query design)
  • Knowledge of RAID 1,5,6; SANs; NAS; and other storage systems
  • Capability to replace hardware on servers, desktops, laptops, etc.
  • Perform server, desktop, and service administrative tasks (event logs, scheduled tasks, services, DCOM)
  • Knowledge of standard sysadmin utilities (RDP, VNC, SSH, pstools)
  • Assist with internal systems and network design and maintenance
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High School Diploma
  • Driver’s license
What You Are Accountable For
  • Complete software programming using required standards, communicating details to customers, staff, and subcontractors
  • Manage and complete programming and downloading of system controllers and peripherals
  • Commission system controllers, ensuring functionality per project documents and expectations
  • Revise project documents for accurate as‑built and commissioning documentation
  • Coach, mentor, and provide technical assistance to installation and service technicians
  • Attend project meetings as required
  • Communicate project details to manager, technicians, and customers
  • Provide ongoing technical support, including responding to issues, delivering updated software, performing installations, and collaborating with service team
  • Analyze customer needs, propose engineering solutions, and develop innovative software products
  • Train owners and operators, develop site‑specific training and documentation
  • Establish long‑term relationships with customers, contractors, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Troubleshoot Windows operating systems on servers, PCs, laptops, and tablets
  • Apply comprehensive IP network knowledge at all OSI layers and troubleshoot accordingly
  • Continuous learning of system control technologies
  • Research and understand new product implementation (R&D)
  • Be on call as needed
