The OpportunityWe are partnering with organizations in Kalamazoo that are seeking Robotics Technicians. Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on robotic systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and software issues in industrial robots.
- Program and teach robot paths, waypoints, and logic for manufacturing processes and new product integration.
- Calibrate and align robotic arms and end-effectors to ensure precision and accuracy.
- Install, test, and commission new robotic equipment and integrated cells on the production floor.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols, quality standards, and industry best practices.
- Associate's degree in Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience with industrial robots (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, Kuka) in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens platforms).
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair complex robotic system malfunctions.
- Experience with industrial vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence).
- Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet).
- Basic understanding of HMI/SCADA systems for process monitoring.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with CAD software for reviewing designs or robot cell layouts.
