Location:

• Sets up instruments.
• Maintains, cleans, and sterilizes equipment and work area following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures.
• Receives, centrifuges, accessions, processes, and transports specimens.
• Verifies all related records.
• May draw and collect blood samples according to policy.
• Orders add‑on tests and works pending lists, and resolves duplicate orders.
• Performs clerical duties which may include answering phones, reviewing EKGs, collecting patient demographic data for patient registration, ordering tests, reviewing Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage (ABN), data entry, and filing.
