Join to apply for the Medical Lab Tech MLT role at Beacon Health System.
Full time. 40 hrs/week. Day shift. 7:00am - 7:30pm / 7:00am - 3:30 pm.
Responsibilities- Performs routine diagnostic and analytic testing of laboratory specimens.
- Performs, validates, interprets, documents, and reports test results under the supervision of a medical technologist/medical laboratory scientist.
- Conducts quality control and quality assurance testing.
- Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting; maintains supplies needed for performance of tests.
- Assists with data collection and special projects.
- Understands and participates in all aspects of clinical laboratory testing: pre‑analytical, analytical, and post‑analytical; may collect and process specimens.
- Trains and mentors Medical Lab Technicians (MLTs), new associates and students.
- Medical Technician (MLT) highly preferred
- Medical Technologist (ASCP) highly preferred
- LIC Medical Lab Scientist ASCP or AMT highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology, medical laboratory science, or human sciences
