Position Summary

The System Supervisor – Talent Acquisition is responsible for supervising Talent Acquisition staff, functions, and policies. This role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the TA team delivers exceptional customer service, a strong candidate experience, and efficient recruitment operations.

The Supervisor leads day to day operations for Talent Acquisition Specialists and Recruiting Coordinators, providing coaching, insight, and creative solutions related to escalations, planning, and compliance. This position supports the Talent Acquisition Manager and Head of TA in strategy development, retention efforts, hiring plans, and forecasting staffing needs.

This highly visible role requires advanced interpersonal skills, critical thinking, public speaking, and a solutions-oriented mindset. Customers include the TA team, leadership at all levels, employees, external partners, and providers.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead and develop a team of recruiters and TA professionals.

  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing feedback.

  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture.

  • Ensure equitable distribution of work and ongoing evaluation of processes.

  • Establish regular one on ones, team huddles, and development sessions.

  • Participate in interviewing, hiring decisions, onboarding, and performance evaluations.

  • Recommend and support personnel actions for attraction, retention, and motivation of qualified employees.

Recruitment Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies aligned with organizational goals.

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand and plan for staffing needs.

  • Stay current on industry trends and integrate best practices.

  • Work with TA leadership to set team goals and define training and development needs.

  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, community groups, and external partners to support recruitment efforts.

  • Lead and participate in internal and external career events (onsite and virtual).

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws, civil rights regulations, and labor standards.

  • Serve as a resource to leadership on recruitment processes, communication, and legal compliance.

Full-Cycle Recruitment
  • Oversee the complete recruitment process including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and follow-through to start date.

  • Ensure a positive, consistent candidate experience across all touchpoints.

  • Participate in special projects and recommend improvements within budget constraints.

Metrics & Reporting
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to assess TA effectiveness.

  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior leadership on recruitment trends and outcomes.

  • Support compliance-related programs including EEO/Affirmative Action and other employment initiatives.

  • Prepare required reports and documentation.

Requirements Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Communication, or a related field.

Experience
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Talent Acquisition and/or Human Resources.

  • 3+ years of leadership experience overseeing recruiters (preferably clinical recruitment) and TA professionals.

  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including occasional nights and weekends.

  • On-call availability and responsiveness as needed.

  • Regular attendance at career events, including ensuring recruiter participation.

  • Subject Matter Expert in Clinical Recruitment.

  • Proven ability to perform in high-pressure environments and adapt to varying leadership styles.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% based on business needs.
