We are seeking a Claims and Risk Analyst to help shape enterprise claims and risk strategy across multiple states. Role OverviewYou will lead the execution of claims and risk management activities. Working closely with internal stakeholders, brokers, carriers, and external partners, you will manage complex claims, surface insights from loss data, and drive process improvements that reduce total cost of risk. This role includes meaningful project ownership within a culture that prizes integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a diverse portfolio of claims that may include auto liability, property, and professional liability from investigation through resolution
- Negotiate settlements, monitor claim progress, and keep all stakeholders aligned for timely and effective outcomes
- Analyze loss data, track market and coverage trends, and identify emerging risks to inform leadership decisions
- Streamline workflows, develop clear dashboards, and recommend actions that lower total cost of risk
- Partner with corporate and field teams, brokers, carriers, and claimants to maintain clear and consistent communication
- Support insurance policy renewals by coordinating accurate documentation with brokers and underwriters
- Contribute to enterprise risk management initiatives, coordinate annual meetings in Utah, and explore innovative risk solutions
- Maintain meticulous records, produce reports, and perform ad hoc analyses that support safety and insurance programs
- Shape and scale the enterprise risk management approach to reduce risk and improve outcomes
- Lead practical improvements to claims handling and reporting
- Own high visibility projects that showcase innovation and measurable results
- Access robust professional development, including training, certifications, and mentorship
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field
- Three or more years of experience in insurance, claims management, or risk analysis with a record of success handling complex claims and interpreting risk data
- Experience with claims litigation including discovery, arbitration, and collaboration with experts
- Strong policy interpretation and loss analysis with a focus on clear, actionable insights
- Proven negotiation skills and the ability to build lasting relationships
- Exceptional written and verbal communication with accurate documentation habits
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, plus familiarity with databases and web based platforms
- Solid project management with the ability to manage timelines, track metrics, and build dashboards
- Self starter who thrives independently and in teams with a commitment to integrity and confidentiality
- Continuous improvement mindset that looks for opportunities to enhance processes and outcomes
- Primarily office based work with regular computer use
- Occasional travel to field offices or properties for inspections, photos, or in person settlements
