Independent Field Auto Estimator – Alacrity Solutions

Auto estimators verify and provide accurate electronic estimates on the cost of repairs on automobiles, enabling our clients to determine fair settlement amounts. The estimator reviews each assignment by speaking with the owner or representative, researching records, and inspecting the vehicle to the satisfaction of the client and claimant.

• 1+ years of field claims experience, including auto claims
• Electronic estimating experience using platforms such as Mitchell, CCC, Audatex
• 1+ year of strong customer service and conflict resolution competency
• 1+ year of ability to work independently (self‑motivated)
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and adaptability
• Contact Alacrity clients to complete inspections/appraisals within our time frame(s)
• Smartphone or other device capable of taking quality photos and transmitting them

• Promptly and effectively handles all assignments to conclusion within delegated authority
• Maintains current knowledge of local industry repair procedures and pricing
• Knowledge of Department of Insurance and State Regulations
• Submits detailed inspections and reports summarizing damages
• Identifies potential or questionable damages and communicates findings with client
• Plans and navigates daily routes efficiently using the Optimizer Automation tool
• Inspects all angles of vehicle, both interior and exterior, visually and manually
• Establishes repair requirements and cost estimates, negotiating operations and costs
• Delivers positive customer service to internal, external, and prospective clients
• Meets cycle‑time and quality KPIs in a fast‑paced environment
• Articulates decisions and technical knowledge verbally and written
• Reliable transportation, valid state driver’s license, and safe driving record
• Professional business attire and appearance while serving the public

• State licensing required (if applicable)
• Appraiser’s license – if applicable
• Adjuster’s license – if applicable
• I‑CAR Certification preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous auto estimating experience required
• Mitchell, CCC, Audatex experience a plus

• Self‑determined scheduling, manage your own day

100% travel required within designated territory based on assignment locations.

Normal office or field claims environment. Must operate a motor vehicle for up to 8 hours daily, repeatedly entering and exiting. Must conduct physical inspections of auto loss sites and work outdoors in all types of weather. Available to work catastrophic loss events and irregular hours; willingness to travel with possible overnight requirements is a plus.
