Valve Hone/Finisher - Primary Functions

• Performs flat lapping and deburring of metering edges.
• Sets up and operates internal hones and lapping equipment to produce high-quality precision parts.
• Sets up and operates equipment to produce precision holes.

Working Procedures

• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Selects appropriate mandrels, hones stones, lap arbors, laps, and lapping compounds; maintains/reconditions equipment to meet tolerances.
• Works from blueprints, process sheets, sketches, models, specifications, and instructions.
• Sets up and uses gaging equipment to inspect parts within required tolerances.
• Operates CMM and other precision measurement tools.
• Handles parts carefully to maintain dimensions and finishes.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities.
