The Material Handler is responsible for locating and putting bundled raw stock into inventory, panning raw bar stock for distribution, stock consolidations, and returning restock material to inventory. Material Handlers are also responsible for the transportation, stocking, and staging of manufacturing raw and processed inventory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Move raw material into inventory once receiving is complete.
- Consolidate material in pan, rack, and arm locations to make space available for new inventory.
- Assist with unloading incoming raw material.
- Return and restock material to inventory.
- Systematically ship product using company application software.
- Assist in disposal and stocking of non-inventoried items; including cardboard, trash, and scrap material of red rack items dispositioned as scrap.
- Provide material requirements to Manufacturing team.
- Perform duties involving the use of mobile mechanical equipment, including forklifts.
- Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Use a computer/electronic equipment to perform data entry.
- Must be able to interact in-person with coworkers and the public, in a collaborative team environment.
- Must be able to handle high stress situations.

Qualifications POSITION QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- Minimum 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination
- Prior forklift experience (highly preferred), or ability to become certified (required)
- Familiarity with use of a computer and applications.
- Routinely required to stand and walk; use hands to handle and feel; reach with arms and hands; as well as climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Routinely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
- Routinely performs repetitive movements such as bending, twisting, reaching, lifting and pulling.
- Specific vision requirements include depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to wear all necessary safety equipment.
- Routinely work in a noisy environment.
- Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
- Routinely exposed to moving and mechanical parts and potential exposure to electrical shock.
