Digital Press Technician- 1st shift

Job Description

We are seeking qualified Digital Press Technicians to join our growing team. These opportunities are on 1st shift with hours of 7am-3:30pm Monday through Friday. Starting compensation is $22-28/hr depending on experience level. Preferred candidates will have knowledge of narrow and wide format commercial printers.

Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated Digital Press Technician/ CNC Set-Up to join our team. The Technician will be responsible for printing and converting/finishing jobs on presses such as Zund, EFI UV Inkjet and Colex. We are looking for a candidate who has strong communication skills, able to multi-task, self-motivated and can problem solve as well as detailed-oriented. Computer skills and mechanical aptitude are a must!

Duties:

Operate digital press machines, including setup, calibration, and troubleshooting.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on digital presses to ensure optimal performance.
Monitor print quality throughout the production process and make adjustments as needed.
Manage print jobs from start to finish, including file preparation, color management, and finishing processes.
Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of printed materials.
Maintain accurate records of print jobs, machine maintenance, and inventory levels.
Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in digital printing technology.

Experience:

Candidates with CNC set-up experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in printing technology preferred.
Strong understanding of digital printing processes, color management, and file preparation helpful but not required
Proficiency in using digital press software, and versa works, smart FTP and Illustrator applications helpful but not required
Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical ability to lift and move materials up to 40lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
