American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring 2 years of Med-Surg/Tele experience and an active MI license.

• Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00-07:30
• 36 hours per week with option to pick up additional PRN hours
• Every other weekend work requirement
• Floating required to similar medical surgical departments as needed, with travelers prioritized for floating
• Night shift patient ratios of 1:5-6, with no LPN support on nights
• Patient population includes pneumonia, heart failure, GI bleed, DKA, altered mental status, and sepsis diagnoses

• Active Michigan RN license required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• At least 1 year of Med-Surg/Tele experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Proof of flu vaccination required with submission, or vaccination exemption submitted within 48 hours of signing
• Supervisor-level references required

• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restriction
• First-time travelers welcome to apply
• Holiday RTO requests are not guaranteed; dates may be discussed with the manager for accommodation
• RTO limited to no more than 10 days
• Previous internal travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
• Assignment length up to 26 weeks
