American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring MS/Tele experience and Epic proficiency.

• Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7p-730a)
• 36 hr/week base schedule with option to pick up additional PRN hours
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float to similar medical surgical departments as needed
• No on-call requirement
• Night shift ratios of 1:5-6, no LPN staffed on nights
• Patient population includes pneumonia, heart failure, GI bleed, DKA, altered mental status, and sepsis diagnoses

• Active MI RN license required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• 1 year of Med-Surg experience required
• MS/Tele experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Supervisor-level references required
• Proof of flu vaccination required for consideration

• Travelers are expected to float first when needed
• No holiday RTO requests accepted; dates may be discussed with manager for possible accommodation
• RTO limited to no more than 10 days
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions, though a local rate applies for travelers within 50 miles of the facility
• Previous internal travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
