Job SummaryProvides customer service, merchandising, and assistance with daily operations of our art Works Studio and Gallery. art Works, part of MRC's skill building program, sells artwork and related items created by adults with disabilities who are participants of our programming. The ideal candidate will act as a key holder, opening and closing the store, and staff events including Artisan Markets, Night Markets, Friday night Art Hop, and other community events as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Promotion of a positive work environment.
- Keyholder functions include closing registers, counting funds, and locking/unlocking doors.
- Availability will include varied weekly shifts, including weekend, closing, and peak hour shifts.
- Completes other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all clients we serve.
- Criminal records, driving, and recipient rights screening required.
- Valid Michigan driver's license, good driving record, and the availability of a licensed, insured vehicle for use on the job required.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 2–3 years’ experience within a retail or customer service environment preferred.
- Ability to operate a computer keyboard at acceptable levels of quality and speed and other general office equipment as needed to perform the essential duties of the job.
- Physical ability to work standing for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members to provide excellent customer service.
- May occasionally require lifting up to 35 pounds.
- Retail environment with noise from telephones, computers, customers, staff, and client interactions.
- May be exposed to blood borne pathogens, infectious diseases, and parasites.
