REPORTS TO: New Car Manager

POSITION TYPE: Part-time

LOCATION: DeNooyer Chevy, Kalamazoo

POSITION SUMMARY: The Lot Attendant is responsible for making sure that all aspects of the “first impression” are attended to. The Lot Attendant also assists the Sales staff with some day-to-day tasks.

• High attention to detail
• Valid Michigan Driver’s license and an insurable driving record
• Comfortable working with computers, strong typing skills, and creative writing abilities
• High School Diploma

• Keeping the front lot clean and safe by removing trash and debris as well as snow and ice.
• Making sure all cars are clean inside and out
• Daily cleaning and polishing of new cars in the new car showroom and display pad
• On a daily basis: start, gas, clean, and align vehicles as needed. One row is to be done each day.
• Gassing vehicles for delivery
• Vehicle transport check‑ins
• Pictures of inventory uploaded to VIN‑solutions for our website
• Assisting salespeople and managers for pickup and delivery of cars
• Washing vehicles by bringing them through the car wash
• Follow all required safety and hazardous materials procedures as required by dealership policies and applicable laws and regulations, including OSHA and MIOSHA

• General cleanup of dealership including, but not limited to: dealership, lot, restrooms, and shop.
• Back up the detail department for cleaning and detailing vehicles for the lot or delivery
• Assisting customers on the lot by finding a salesperson
• Relating positively and courteously with diverse groups of people (customers, visitors, and staff)
• All other duties as assigned

• Ability to stand for six to eight hours per shift
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and stretch
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
• Ability to work in conditions such as varying temperatures, weather elements, noise, dust, and fumes.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
