The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Cadet Program offers training across police, fire, and EMS roles. Cadets are assigned to divisions to gain hands-on experience while exploring career paths within KDPS.
Eligibility requires 18+, a high school diploma or GED, and enrollment in college with a 2.0 GPA, or veteran status, or enrollment in a trade school. A full background check, drug test, and physical examination are required.
