We are seeking a Systems Assembly & Field Support Technician for our Kalamazoo, MI office.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Panel Builder and IP Configuration Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and configuring security panels and systems, including the installation, wiring, and IP configuration of security devices such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality security solutions to our clients.
This role will require travel between Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Kalamazoo. Mileage will be paid except for home office.
- Proven experience as a Security Panel Builder, IP Configuration Technician, or similar role in the security industry.
- High attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and wiring plans.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Security Panel Building:
- Assemble, wire, and configure security panels according to technical specifications and client requirements.
- Install and connect components such as circuit boards, relays, power supplies, and communication modules.
- Test and troubleshoot panels to ensure proper functionality and adherence to quality standards.
- Ensure all wiring and connections meet safety standards and regulations.
- Document panel builds accurately, including labeling, wiring records, and configuration details.
- Capture and upload final panel photos to the Project Management Software.
- Report any issues discovered during panel assembly or testing to project managers or supervisors.
- Configure IP addresses, network settings, and communication protocols for security devices such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IP configurations and network settings for each device.
- Update project management systems with configuration data as required.
- Communicate progress and report configuration challenges or delays to project managers and supervisors.
